Max number of characters is done on a person-by-person basis, depending on how many characters the admins in charge of character approval think you're capable of.
There isn't a cap on posting, but I'll tell you the same thing I tell people in my CW classes. If it's long, at least make it interesting. Nobody wants to read five paragraphs of hair brushing, or something as equally completely useless (doesn't develope character, character interactions, or plot).

I wish to add to that, we are trying really hard to get our posters to post at least 2-3 good paragraphs. We have a couple new rpers that we are hoping to help develop their rping skills and we'd like to provide a good example to them. I understand that sometimes our muses need to be kicked and you just throw in a short post to keep the momentum going, and that is acceptable, but continued short posts will illicit a request from me to lengthen your post.
We don't care about how long your post is in the ooc boards, just the rp boards.
As Kino said, we only put a cap on charrie number if you cannot handle and actively rp the ones you already have.
We don't bite hun so no worries. Welcome to Dark Moon Weyr!
